Guardian Automotive to Add Windshield Recycling
Guardian Automotive is the newest company in the auto glass industry to reuse windows. Purchasers of four of the firm's distribution centers can return damaged windscreens to Guardian to be recycled.

"We are happy about our new green initiative," asserts Scott Billings, director of distribution operations for Guardian Auto. "Windshield recycling is a win / win we're doing the right thing for the environment by keeping windshields out of landfills and we're helping our shoppers reduce their waste costs."

The company plans to expand the programme to the other eight distribution centres later this year. The four centres currently participating are Detroit, Cincinnati, Findlay and Atlanta.

"We've received a lot of positive feedback from our customers," asserts Billings. "Once we put the new containers out and communicated with our clients, we right away started seeing damaged windshields being returned.".
